Looking to bring the magic of Meri Cherry Art Studio right to your own backyard?

Mobile Mini maker classes are weekly, 45 minute art-based sensory classes held in backyards all across Los Angeles. Toddlers walking to 3 years old investigate and learn through inspired art and sensory experiences. This is the best playdate you'll ever have, and the best party is: we're on cleanup!

Meri Cherry classes are process-based, meaning we focus on the experience rather than the finished product. We develop our activities and curriculum to be engaging, fun and exciting, and encourage each child’s individual journey and imagination.

What age are Mobile Mini Makers for?

We offer Meri Cherry Mobile Toddler Playgroups for kids walking to 3 years old.

When do you offer classes?

As long as we have availability, we can schedule Mobile Playgroup Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 4:00pm.

Is Mini Makers an instructed art class?

No, Toddler Playgroup is not an instructed art class. Instead, our Mobile Teachers create and facilitate art-based sensory experiences and activities for kids and their grown-ups to explore together at their own pace. During class, your teacher will guide you through colorful sensory play activities, and most importantly, bring the Meri Cherry fun!

What types of activities can I expect?

Our teachers are constantly developing new sensory activities! Kids will participate in a variety of art-based sensory play experiences and process art crafts. As our Mobile Teachers get to know your group, they can curate the activities they bring based on what the kids love! We plan developmentally appropriate play, and make sure we're bringing new, awesome materials so every week is exciting and engaging.

How much is Mobile Mini Makers?

Pricing depends on class enrollment, and full 10-week session payment is due at signup:

6-8 kids: $50/class/child

5 kids: $60/class/child

4 kids: $75/class/child

3 kids: $100/class/child

2 kids: $150/class/child

1 child: $300/class/child

How long is Mobile Mini Makers?

Meri Cherry Mobile Playgroups are 45 minutes long. Your teacher will arrive about 15 minutes early to set up, and stay 15 minutes after class to clean up.  

How long are Mobile Mini Makers sessions?

Our standard session is 10 weeks, which is paid for in full up front. Families must enroll for the entire session.

How many kids can I have in class?

Mobile Playgroup can have a maximum class size of 8 children at this time, keeping in mind that each toddler has a grown-up attend with them.

Can you do a class in my area?

We travel all over the Los Angeles area for mobile playgroups, and will work to find the best time for you based on our teachers' current schedules. We typically book classes within 10 miles from our studio in Encino.

  • Large shaded outdoor area that's ok to get messy. If not shaded, please provide large umbrella or tent.
  • Access to an outdoor sink or hose is preferred
  • Clear & open communication with Meri Cherry Art Studio about class roster information, cancellations, etc.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

WE VALUE THE SAFETY OF YOUR CHILDREN AND OUR TEAM MEMBERS

WE ARE TAKING STEPS TO PROTECT AGAINST COVID-19

CLASS SIZE

We've decreased our maximum class size from 12 to 8 children until further notice.

CLEANING & SANITATION

All sensory bin materials are single use, and any reusable tools (spoons, bins, cups, etc) are cleaned and sanitized after each class.

MASKS & VACCINATION

All members of the Meri Cherry staff are fully vaccinated, and wear face masks during class. Adults and toddlers are encouraged to wear masks for playgroup.

CLASS LOCATION

All mobile classes will be held outdoors until further notice. In case of rain or inclement weather, we will cancel class instead of moving indoors, unless explicitly discussed with Meri Cherry Art Studio.
